Reception will be fitted with a safety screen and only one member of staff will be in reception at any one time.

You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines and children’s toys since these items are difficult to clean and disinfect. If you need a water cup you will need to ask the receptionist.

Floor signs will be introduced to ensure 2m social distancing except when you are in the treatment room.

We will be staggering appointments in order to minimise traffic at the reception area.

Our office will communicate with you before your appointment to ask you some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.

We will ask you to use hand sanitiser when you enter the office. You will then be greeted by one of our team members who will ask you a few preliminary questions.

We ask all patients except those under the age of 16 or with a disability to attend appointments alone.

You will notice that our practitioners will be wearing enhanced PPE which will vary according to the treatment involved but can include respirators, visors, goggles and fluid-repellent gowns. This provides maximum protection against cross-infection for you as well as the staff.

We have purchased state-of-the-art air purifiers/sanitisers for each aerosol-generating area which provide over 99.9% first pass kill rate.

For some procedures we will use upgraded intra-oral suction devices to reduce the release of aerosol as much as possible.

In addition to our already thorough infection prevention control measures we have added extra precautions throughout the day to ensure that all surfaces are regularly cleaned and disinfected.
